Facebook Media Buying Done Right
Facebook media buying is the daily work of deciding how much to spend, where, on which ads and with which bid strategy. We do it in your own ad account on fixed rules, log every change with its reason, and charge a flat monthly fee rather than a share of spend.
Good buying looks boring from outside. Fewer, larger campaigns, patient budget changes and a clear reason behind every move, written down where you can read it.
01 · Daily work
The decisions a media buyer makes
- Budget pacing
- Spend against the monthly ceiling, so the account never runs dry in week three or overspends on a slow weekend.
- Scaling
- Budgets raised on campaigns that hold cost per result for several days, in steps small enough not to destabilise delivery.
- Cuts
- Spend pulled from ad sets where frequency climbs and results fade, and from ads that have clearly lost.
- Bid strategy
- Highest volume by default, cost per result goals or ROAS goals when margins are known and the account has stable data.
- Creative rotation
- Winners from the creative testing campaign moved into the main budget, tired ads retired.
Account structure
Sample view| Campaign | Budget a day | CPA |
|---|---|---|
| Prospecting, broad | $1,400 | $36 |
| Advantage+ shopping | $900 | $31 |
| Retargeting, 30 days | $250 | $22 |
| New creative test | $300 | $41 |
02 · Learning phase
Why we change budgets less often than you might expect
Meta needs a steady flow of conversions per ad set to optimise delivery, and large edits to budget, targeting or creative can send an ad set back into learning. A buyer who edits everything daily often makes results worse while looking busy.
We check every account every working day, but we act on trends over several days, not on one bad afternoon. Campaign budget is often set at campaign level so Meta can shift spend between ad sets itself, and we keep the number of ad sets low enough that each one gets real data.
03 · Scaling
How we scale spend
-
1
Confirm the signal
Before scaling we check that tracking is clean and the reported results match your store or CRM within a reasonable margin.
-
2
Vertical steps
Budget raised on proven campaigns in steps, with a pause to read results after each one.
-
3
Horizontal expansion
New angles, new formats and new markets added when one audience and offer start to saturate.
-
4
Guard rails
Frequency caps in retargeting, an existing customer cap in Advantage+ sales campaigns and a daily alert if cost per result drifts above target.
04 · Change log
Every change is written down
Ads Manager shows what changed, but not why. Our portal keeps a change log next to the live dashboard, with each budget move, launch and pause and the reason behind it.
That makes reviews short and honest. When a week goes badly you can see exactly what we did and judge the decision, not just the outcome.
05 · Scope
Media buying is one part of the plan
Buying works on top of creative and tracking. Without fresh ads there is nothing to scale, and without clean signals Meta optimises on the wrong data. Every plan therefore includes buying, creative production, testing and Conversions API tracking, priced by spend band from 3,000 USD a month. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
