Food and Beverage Facebook Ads Agency
Food brands have a low average order value and a high repeat rate compared with most online categories. That combination means a first order often loses money on paper and pays back on the second or third. Campaigns need to be judged on that payback, and creative needs to make people hungry or thirsty within two seconds.
A food and beverage Facebook ads agency runs Meta ads for snack, coffee, tea, drinks, meal kit and specialty food brands, where taste has to come across on a screen and repeat orders decide profit. We run creative, media buying and tracking for food brands at a flat monthly fee.
01
The economics of selling food online
A typical online food order sits well below the basket size of fashion or home goods, while shipping, packaging and perishability add cost. That leaves little room for paid acquisition on the first order alone. We work with you to find the acquisition cost you can afford based on repeat purchase rates, then set campaign targets from that number rather than from a generic ROAS goal.
Where your data allows, we report cohorts, meaning how much customers acquired in a given month spent over the following months. That helps you decide when a higher acquisition cost is worth paying.
02
Creative that sells taste
Food creative wears out quickly because the visual idea is often simple. We plan for frequent refreshes of hooks and openings while keeping the strongest product shots. Our creative testing page explains how we separate a new hook from a new concept.
- Close-ups of pouring, cracking, crunching and steaming, filmed with sound because audio does much of the work for food.
- Real people tasting for the first time, with genuine reactions rather than scripted praise.
- Recipe and serving ideas that show more than one occasion for the product.
- Ingredient and origin stories for premium coffee, tea, olive oil and specialty items.
- Bundles, sampler packs and first box offers that lower the risk of trying something new.
03
Alcohol, health claims and other rules
Beverage brands selling alcohol face extra requirements on Meta. Ads must target people over the legal drinking age in each country, some countries do not allow alcohol ads at all, and content cannot suggest that drinking improves social or sexual success. We set age and location rules at account level and check each creative before launch.
Functional food and drink, such as protein snacks, energy drinks, gut health products and adaptogen drinks, sits close to supplement rules. Health claims are restricted, and the same caution about personal attributes applies. The approach we use there is described on our supplements Facebook ads agency page.
04
Subscriptions and delivery zones
Many food and coffee brands run a subscription alongside one-off orders. We track subscription starts as their own event, report cost per new subscriber and test offers that bring subscribers who stay, such as a choice of flavours, rather than offers that only bring a cheap first box. Perishable products also have delivery zones, so we limit targeting to regions you ship to and adjust bids when a region has higher shipping cost.
05
Which plan suits a food or drinks brand
Food brands spending up to 50k USD a month on Meta usually choose Growth at 3,000 USD a month, with 12 new creatives and 2 creator videos. Brands that also sell through retail and want offline sales or regional tests often move to Scale at 6,000 USD. Brands selling in several countries with different alcohol or labelling rules need the country allowance of Enterprise. See the pricing page for monthly and annual prices.
