Outdoor Brand Marketing Agency for Facebook Ads and Meta Ads
We run Facebook and Instagram ads for outdoor gear and apparel brands that spend 20,000 USD a month or more on Meta. You get a senior media buyer, new field-shot creative every month, budgets planned around the season of each activity and campaigns kept inside Meta's weapons policy, for one flat monthly fee.
Outdoor buyers research hard. A backpacker compares weights to the ounce, a hunter reads three reviews of the same jacket, and a paddler wants to see the kayak on real water before spending 1,200 USD. They also smell a staged studio shoot from a mile away. An outdoor account on Meta has to look like it was made by people who actually use the gear, and it has to move budget with the seasons instead of fighting them.

01 · The problem
Why outdoor brands struggle with Facebook ads
Most outdoor categories sell in waves. Camping, hiking and paddling peak from spring into summer, hunting apparel and optics peak in the weeks before and during fall seasons, and ski and snow gear sells from early fall to the first big storms. An account that runs flat budgets all year overspends in the quiet months and runs out of tested creative right when demand arrives.
The second problem is trust. Outdoor customers are loyal to brands that feel authentic and quick to scroll past anything that looks like a stock catalog. Product specs matter as much as the mood: weight, waterproof rating, temperature rating, fit and durability are what close the sale.
- Budgets set by month instead of by the season of each activity and region.
- Creative that shows a model on a white background instead of gear in mud, rain or snow.
- Hunting and fishing stores getting ads rejected or accounts restricted because weapons and some accessories sit in the same catalog as apparel.
- High consideration products like tents, packs, kayaks and optics that sell after several visits, outside a short attribution window.
02 · The work
What we run for outdoor gear brands
- Season by activity budget plan
- A yearly plan per category and region: when to build audiences and test creative before the peak, when to push spend, and when to pull back to retargeting and repeat buyers. Snow gear in Colorado and camping gear in Texas do not peak in the same week.
- Field-shot and proof creative
- Gear in use outdoors, spec callouts, side by side comparisons, durability and weather tests, founder and guide videos and short UGC style reviews. Each plan includes a set number of new ads every month. See our Facebook ad creative work and UGC ads.
- Catalog sets split by activity
- Product sets for camping, hiking, hunting apparel, fishing, paddling and snow, so a buyer who viewed a four season tent sees tents and sleeping bags rather than fishing lures. More on Facebook catalog ads.
- Policy-safe hunting and fishing ads
- Firearms, ammunition and many weapon accessories cannot be advertised on Meta. We keep those items out of ad catalogs and creative, build product sets from apparel, packs, boots and camp gear, and write copy that stays inside the rules so the account is not put at risk.
- Measurement for researched purchases
- Pixel and Conversions API with correct purchase values, longer reporting windows for high ticket items and retail or dealer sales sent back as offline events where you have them.

04 · Who it is for
Outdoor businesses we work with
| Business type | What usually moves results on Meta |
|---|---|
| Camping and hiking gear brand | Spring and early summer scaling, spec and weight comparisons, bundles for first time campers |
| Outdoor apparel brand | Fit and layering creative, weather proof demos, new colorway launches, repeat buyer offers |
| Hunting apparel and accessories store | Policy-safe catalog sets, pre-season creative in late summer, region timing by season dates |
| Fishing and paddling brand | On-water video, regional timing by water temperature, retargeting over a long research cycle |
| Ski, snowboard and snow gear | Fall pre-season push, early season offers, budget ready for the first storms |
05 · The numbers
What a good result looks like for outdoor gear
The number that matters is your break-even ROAS, which is 1 divided by your contribution margin after product cost, shipping, payment fees and returns. An outdoor brand with a 45 percent contribution margin breaks even at a ROAS of about 2.2 and grows profitably above it. In the off season a lower blended ROAS can be fine if the spend is building audiences and testing the creative you will scale at the peak.
We judge each season as a whole, not week by week. Published outdoor benchmarks from agencies and ad tools vary widely and are rarely audited, so we set targets from your own margins, average order value and repeat purchase rate.
06 · Honest view
How we compare with a full service outdoor marketing agency
Outdoor industry agencies often cover brand strategy, PR, athlete partnerships, trade shows and dealer marketing. We do one thing, Facebook and Instagram ads, for brands with enough Meta spend to need a dedicated team. If you need brand positioning, PR and retail sell-in under one roof, a full service outdoor agency may suit you better. If Meta is a main paid channel for your online store, specialist focus usually wins.
- Flat fee by spend band, so our fee does not rise with your peak season budget. The reasoning is on flat fee vs percent of spend.
- Creative volume is part of every plan, not billed per asset.
- Monthly billing cancels online, and you own every account and asset from day one.
- Not a fit if you spend under about 20,000 USD a month on Meta, if most of your revenue comes from firearms or ammunition, or if you want Google Shopping and Meta run by the same team.
07 · Pricing
Plans for outdoor brands
An outdoor brand spending up to 50,000 USD a month on Meta usually sits on Growth at 3,000 USD a month. Brands between 50,000 and 150,000 USD at their peak move to Scale at 6,000 USD, which adds more creative per month. Larger multi-category brands use Enterprise. Yearly billing saves 20 percent, and the full list is on the pricing page.
